Jose Rizal University and Emilio Aguinaldo College, both in the midst of three-game slumps, will meet anew on Friday in the NCAA Season 98 men's basketball tournament with the former looking to repeat over the host.

JRU and EAC open the double-header at 12 p.m. while San Sebastian College-Recoletos take on Arellano University in a bid to start its win streak at 3 p.m. still at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

The Heavy Bombers triumphed over the Generals last September 14 with the wards of head coach Louie Gonzales carving out a 97-74 win.

That lopsided victory was also what started JRU's surprise five-game win streak but they have since absorbed three straight losses at the hands of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, San Sebastian, and Mapua University to drop to 5-5.

EAC, on the other hand, is hungry after having been defeated for three straight games against Lyceum, Mapua, and San Beda which all came following its 80-75 conquest of the Blazers.

In the second game, San Sebastian will eye to bag its second win in a row against Arellano, who's coming off a tough loss to San Beda the other day.

The Stags are fresh from a 72-68 upset of JRU last Friday with rookie Rhinwill Yambing leading the pack after he poured in 17 points. The Chiefs, though, will surely go all out to bounce back from a 76-63 drubbing against the Red Lions.

Arellano is also hoping to have key players Cade Flores, Joshua Abastillas, Shane Menina, and Neil Tolentino back from injuries.
