San Beda University and Arellano University will look to get winning streaks started when they meet anew on Wednesday in the NCAA Season 98 men's basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Game time is at 12 p.m. with both teams eyeing to bag their second straight win while Mapua University will look to add to Jose Rizal University's misery when they take on each other at 3 p.m.

San Beda was nothing short of dominant in its first round meeting against Arellano, waylaying the Chiefs in a 35-point rout, 96-61, behind stellar outings from usual suspects James Kwekuteye, JB Bahio, and Tony Ynot.

And when they collide for the second time this season, the Red Lions are tipped to go full throttle in bid to strengthen their hold of third spot with a 7-4 win-loss card.

But they will be up against an inspired Arellano side who is coming off a morale-boosting 77-63 victory over Final Four contender Lyceum of the Philippines University last week.

With Cade Flores and Axel Doromal steadying the ship for the Chiefs, Arellano is expected to give San Beda a fight to improve its current 5-6 slate.

In the second game, Mapua will look to clinch its third straight victory against a struggling JRU squad, which has lost two games in a row following an 18-day break due to health and safety protocols.

The Cardinals outdueled Emilio Aguinaldo College and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA to go 4-9 in the standings after a tough 0-8 start. The Heavy Bombers, on the other hand, are fresh from two losses against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde and San Sebastian College-Recoletos to drop to 5-4.
