NCAA cancels Sunday games due to Paeng

The National Collegiate Athletic Association on Saturday announced the cancellation of its scheduled games on Sunday due to inclement weather brought by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng.

Mapua and San Sebastian were supposed to play at 12 noon to be followed by the match between Jose Rizal University and Colegio de San Juan de Letran at 3 p.m.

This is the third time that the NCAA has called off games this season due to inclement weather, following Saturday's cancellations and Typhoon Karding's onslaught on September 25.

In its 11 p.m. Saturday bulletin, PAGASA said Signal No. 3 is in effect over the northern portion of Metro Manila, which includes Manila, Valenzuela, Malabon, Navotas, Caloocan, and Quezon City, while the rest of the region is under Signal No. 2. — Justin Kenneth Carandang/VBL, GMA News
