With a similar build and shooting form, San Sebastian's Rhinwill Yambing has been showing shades of former NCAA MVP Rhenz Abando.
And the Stags rookie was thankful and flattered by the comparisons.
The 6-foot-3 baller dropped a career-high 17 points in their 72-68 triumph of Jose Rizal University on Friday as the Stags improved to 4-6, injecting some life to their campaign.
Yambing shared he was actually hoping to play against Abando, but this wasn't in the cards as the former Letran star decided to turn pro and bring his act to Korea.
"Dinadasal ko nga dati na maabutan ko siya sa NCAA para magkalaro kami pero dinala siya ng Panginoon sa ibang bansa and good naman 'yun para sa kanya," he said.
