Fran Yu didn't have a good start against the San Sebastian College-Recoletos, but the Colegio de San Juan de Letran skipper made sure his presence was felt in the clutch.

The graduating court general converted all of his 19 points in the crucial second half, firing 3-of-8 in the rainbow country to tow the Knights to a 69-50 mastery of the Stags on Sunday.

And head coach Bonnie Tan was glad that Yu delivered when it mattered most.

"[Si] Fran Yu kasi talagang point guard, facilitator for us and nakita niya na second half nahihirapan maka-score 'yung team so doon siya nag-deliver," said Tan.

For Yu's part, he felt he just repaid the trust given to him by the coaching staff after he committed two early fouls in the first half, where he went scoreless on 0-of-4 percentage.
