Allan Caidic puts on a show as Team Heroes escape Team Saints in GMA NCAA All-Star Game | NCAA Philippines

PBA legend Allan Caidic proved his hot shooting has not faded, steering Team Heroes to a 98-95 escape of Team Saints in the NCAA Season 98 All-Star Basketball on Saturday.

The Heroes put on a show in the first with GMA artist Raheel Bhyria leading their offense, 35-24, but the Saints made sure to keep up.

With San Beda gunner James Kwekuteye and San Sebastian veteran Ichie Altamirano teaming up, the Saints were able to level things up at the half at 52-all.

Caidic also showed that he still got it after all these years, knocking down three three-pointers at the turn.

A tight affair saw Will Gozum going for a layup to give the Saints a slim 90-89 lead with 2:07 left in the game before Caidic and Nat Cosejo fueled a small run as the Heroes regained the upper hand, 93-90.

A Kwekuteye triple tied the match anew before three freebies courtesy of Allen Liwag and Enzo Navarro sealed it for the Heroes.

Caidic finished with 14 points to go with six assists while Cosejo top-scored with 16 markers and seven rebounds.

Kwekuteye starred for the Saints with his 15 points, five assists, and four rebounds while another PBA legend in Willie Miller chipped in 12 markers.
