EAC guards Ralph Robin, King Gurtiza suspended for rest of the season for violating team rules | NCAA Philippines

Winless so far, Emilio Aguinaldo College's campaign has hit another snag as two of its starting guards have been suspended for the rest of the season due to a violation of team rules.

EAC head coach Oliver Bunyi confirmed to GMA News Online that Ralph Robin and King Gurtiza will no longer suit up for the Generals in the ongoing NCAA Season 98 men's basketball tournament.

Robin and Gurtiza have already missed EAC’s last two games against Colegio de San Juan de Letran and San Sebastia College-Recoletos as they went 0-9.

According to Bunyi, two other players in Art Cosa and Joshua Tolentino have also committed violations but won’t be slapped with the same penalty.

“Tolentino had a different violation. Cosa, who was with the two, is a first-time offender,” said Bunyi.

Bunyi, however, begged off from disclosing which rules the players violated.

“Right now, I can't give anymore details. Because there are other people who got involved who are not part of the team.”

EAC will face De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Sunday.
