Tied in the ladder, Colegio de San Juan de Letran and San Beda University will look to bag their respective sixth wins when they tackle separate foes on Wednesday in NCAA Season 98 at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.
Letran and San Beda, both carrying 5-3 win-loss cards, will take on Emilio Aguinaldo College and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, in a bid to improve their slates.
Letran is coming off back-to-back wins against San Sebastian College-Recoletos and Perpetual to bounce back from two heartbreaking losses in a row that saw them stumble against San Beda and Lyceum.
And head coach Bonnie Tan wants to make sure there won't be any more defeats like those coming their way.
"Again, 'yung back-to-back losses namin hanggang ngayon iniinda pa rin namin and nakikita naman sa standings, sa results, na medyo bumaba talaga 'yung ranking namin," Tan said.
"We take advantage na at least may mga games pa na pwedeng maka-recover."
They take on a winless EAC side that will be seeking a breakthrough win after seven losses to start the season.
Meanwhile, San Beda will look to vent ire on Perpetual following a tough 78-69 loss to league leader De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde where Fil-Canadian James Kwekuteye saw his career-high 28 points go for naught.
But the Red Lions should remain wary of the ALTAs, who are also hungry to bounce back after absorbing a close 70-67 defeat at the hands of the Knights last Saturday.
