Lyceum out to start another win streak in collision with Arellano

Lyceum of the Philippines University is out to build another winning streak when it tangles with Arellano University in the lone game offering on Tuesday in NCAA Season 98.

Game time is at 3 p.m. at the FilOil EcoOil Centre with the Pirates looking to pick up where they left off from a previous win while the Chiefs are eyeing to bounce back from a loss.

Lyceum is coming off a thrilling 82-79 overtime win over a skidding San Sebastian College-Recoletos side last Sunday and head coach Gilbert Malabanan said they will have to improve more on their endgame composure against Arellano.

Prior to that victory, LPU saw its impressive five-game win streak get snapped after stumbling against Jose Rizal University, but the Pirates are out to create another surge.

A win today will also strengthen Lyceum's grasp of the second spot as it now stands at solo second slot with a 6-2 card while Arellano boasts an even 4-4 slate, good for a sixth-place tie with Perpetual.

Arellano, for its part, is still reeling from a 96-61 lopsided defeat at the hands of San Beda University last Friday with Shane Menina being the lone bright spot with 10 points.
