Games today:
12 pm - EAC (0-2) vs JRU (0-2)
3 pm - San Beda (1-1) vs Lyceum (1-1)

Emilio Aguinaldo College and Jose Rizal University look to avoid sinking to a 0-3 hole while San Beda University and Lyceum of the Philippines University shoot for their second win on Saturday in the NCAA Season 98.

EAC and JRU, both carrying a 0-2 win-loss card, will tussle at 12 p.m. to open the double-header while San Beda and Lyceum tangle at 3 p.m. in bid to book a second win.

The Generals are coming off losses to Arellano University and San Beda University, who handed them a tough 85-56 loss to open their campaign with a winless record so far.

According to EAC head coach Oliver Bunyi, the players are definitely feeling the pressure as the school serves as this season's host. But they look to finally overcome it come their clash with the equally-hungry Heavy Bombers.

JRU, meanwhile, absorbed an 84-60 defeat to University of Perpetual Help System DALTA before enduring a 101-97 heartbreaker to defending champion Letran last Wednesday.

“I think it’s because of the pressure kasi may mga expectations being the host. I think the team is too young for the challenge, hindi naman talaga kami contenders,” Bunyi told GMA News Online.

“But we’re working on it. We hope to finally get the win in our next game and hopefully the players will get that pressure off their shoulders."

Wrapping up Saturday's schedule are San Beda and Lyceum, who are both eyeing to bag their second win after taking care of their previous assignment.

The Red Lions are fresh from a lopsided victory over the Generals to bounce back from an opening-day loss to Season 97 runner-up Mapua University, who then fell to Lyceum last Wednesday.

San Beda head coach Yuri Escueta said they will first have the players recover from a packed schedule.

"Balik kami sa trabaho, i-review namin 'yung good and bad of this game against EAC. Ang habol namin ay maka-recover 'yung mga bodies kasi nga dikit-dikit 'yung schedule kaya ngayon," Escueta said.

"Sabi ko nga, tiwala ako na hanggang third unit kaya naman namin maglaro. Hopefully, 'yung recovery para sa Lyceum makuha nila."
