The NCAA opened its latest season on Saturday with the Season 98 opening ceremony that featured the league's student-athletes as well as Kapuso artists in a festive event.
The ceremony was hosted by beauty queen Rabiya Mateo, GMA talent Manolo Pedrosa, and NCAA resident host Martin Javier. Jessica Villarubin, Thea Astley, Sean Lucas, Mannex Manhattan, Ken San Jose, Rochelle Pangilinan, Gueco twins, and the NCAA Cheerleaders performed in the opening while Mark Bautista sang the national anthem. The season's theme song was sung by Villarubin, Astley, Bautista, Anthony Rosaldo, Jeremiah Tiangco, and girl group XOXO.
Sparkle artists also graced the event as muses for the 10 NCAA teams.
