The NCAA Season 98 finally opens curtains on Saturday, September 10, with star-studded and festive opening ceremonies set to be staged at the historic Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The opening rites, which will be hosted by the trio of beauty queen Rabiya Mateo, GMA talent Manolo Pedrosa, and NCAA resident host Martin Javier, will feature the team captains from all 10 participating schools.
'The Clash' alumni Jessica Villarubin, Thea Astley, and girl group XOXO will also serenade live fans with their performances while veteran singer Mark Bautista will also grace the ceremonies.
With a new theme "Achieve Greatness Every Day", the new season is also tipped to have the different Philippine regions be represented through special costumes which are set to highlight the ceremonies.
Following the festivities, host Emilio Aguinaldo College takes on Arellano University at 3:30 p.m. while Mapua University and San Beda University clash at 6:00 p.m.
Catch the NCAA Season 98 Opening Ceremonies live at the venue at 12 p.m. with simulcast at 2:30 p.m. on GMA and GTV.
