For San Beda University's JB Bahio, not getting a lot of the spotlight is no big deal.

The underrated big man has been an effective workhorse for the Red Lions, including posting an average of 8.5 rebounds, the highest on the team in the previous NCAA Season 97.

The 24-year-old cager also chipped in on the other end with 6.5 points while collecting 1.08 assists, 1.17 blocks, and 0.58 steals for San Beda's Final Four run.

"Wala namang problema sa akin 'yon, as long as para sa team, ginagawa ko lang 'yung trabaho ko," Bahio told GMA News Online in an interview.

Bahio showed more flashes of what he could do in the FilOil EcoOil 15th Preseason Cup, where he registered 13 points, eight rebounds, and one block in their last game against Lyceum of the Philippines University.

Though the spotlight is often trained on other names, such as star James Kwekuteye and young guns like Jacob Cortez, Yukien Andrada, and Justine Sanchez, Bahio does not mind, with his mind set on just contributing to the team's performance.

"As long as nakakatulong sa team, mas mahalaga sa akin 'yun eh."

Bahio added that the mission for them all as a group is one and the same—bring the crown back to Mendiola.

"Sobrang gusto naming kunin 'yung championship ngayon kasi nga for 16 years may Finals appearance 'yung San Beda tapos 'yung last season hindi kami nakapag-Finals," the 6-foot-5 banger said.

"Ngayon gusto talaga namin bumawi."
