Stars from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and GMA-7 will collide in this year's All-Star Basketball festivities slated for June 5 at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Season 97 Rookie MVP Rhenz Abando will banner a stacked Team Saints alongside Letran teammate Brent Paraiso. They will be joined by San Beda's Yukien Andrada and Ralph Penuela, Perpetual's Jielo Razon and Kim Aurin, College of Saint Benilde's Will Gozum and Prince Carlos, and San Sebastian's Ichie Altamirano and Ammar Cosari.
They will go up against the Team Heroes led by Mapua University duo of Paolo Hernandez and Warren Bonifacio. Also in the Heroes' side are Gelo Sablan and Kai Oliva of Arellano, Allen Liwag and Ralph Robin of EAC, JL Delos Santos and Marwin Dionisio of JRU, and Enoch Valdez and Mclaude Guadaña of Lyceum.
Both teams will also feature Kapuso artists.
Actors Rocco Nacino, Paul Salas, Kirst Viray, Jose Sarasola, Gil Cuerva, and Pancho Magno will reinforce the Team Saints while providing booster for Team Heroes are Mark Herras, Jason Abalos, David Licauco, Ervic Vijandre, Mavy Legaspi, and Luis Hontiveros.
Arra San Agustin will serve as the Saints' muse while John Fier will be their courtside reporter while their Heroes counterparts are Kyline Alcantara and Pekto.
Lighting up the event with performances are Kapuso talents Zephanie, Jessica Villarubin, Mariane Osabel, and Hannah Precilla.
Game starts at 3 p.m. with mini games in between timeouts and at halftime set to roll out.
