Justin Arana, JM Calma, other NCAA standouts attend PBA Draft Combine | NCAA Philippines

Arellano University big man Justin Arana, San Sebastian College-Recoletos' JM Calma, and other National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) standouts attended the PBA Season 47 Draft Combine on Wednesday at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City.

The Draft Combine is a venue where players can show their different skills ahead of the league's draft on May 15.

As of the end of the NCAA Season 97 elimination round, Arana was averaging 15.5 points, 17.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, and 2.9 blocks. He led the league in both rebounds and blocks.

Calma, meanwhile, was #1 in the NCAA in scoring 16.9 points per game. He also averaged 10.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.3 steals, and 1.0 block per contest this season

Arana was measured as the tallest draft applicant at 6'6" while Emilio Aguinaldo College's (EAC) CJ Cadua is the shortest at 5'4".

 

 

 
 

 

Other NCAA players who applied for the draft include EAC's Marwin Taywan, and Lyceum of the Philippines' Jerwyn Guinto.

Letran's Jeo Ambohot also threw in his name in the draft.

A total of 75 players applied for the rookie draft. The Draft Combine will be held until Thursday.

Former collegiate players who also applied for the draft are National University's Shaun Ildefonso and Enzo Joson, and De La Salle University's Kurt Lojera, Encho Serrano, Jollo Go, and Mark Dyke, among others.

Fil-foreigners such as Jeremy Arthur, Brandon Ganuelas Rosser, Jeremiah Gray, and Sedrick Barefield also applied for the draft.

Ateneo de Manila players Gian Mamuyac, BJ Andrade, and Tyler Tio will also try their luck in this year's selection.

La Salle's Justine Baltazar and University of the Philippines' Javi Gomez de Liaño also submitted for the draft.
