Four teams will look to strengthen their play-in chances as the NCAA Season 97 men's basketball tournament approaches the first of the final four game-days on Sunday at the La Salle Green Hills Gym.

Both Lyceum and Perpetual are tied at 2-5 and a win will bolster their hopes of making the play-in tournament that starts on May 1 at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

Lyceum is coming off a 70-66 comeback win over Arellano last Friday with veteran guard Renzo Navarro leading their fourth quarter barrage while Perpetual is looking to put an end to a three-game losing streak.

The Altas, led by the troika of Kim Aurin, Jeff Egan, and Jielo Razon, are currently on a slide, losing their last three matches against CSB, Mapua, San Beda to drop to 2-5.

Meanwhile, Arellano will look to bounce back as the Chiefs go up against EAC which is still reeling from an 83-62 loss to Letran last Wednesday.

The Chiefs will still lean on big man Justin Arana, steady forward Jordan Sta. Ana, and guard Axel Doromal who are the three leading scorers for the team while EAC will bank on the tandem of Ralph Robin and Allen Liwag.

Results from these games will dictate how the rest of the tournament goes as Colegio de San Juan de Letran, San Beda, and Mapua continue to boost their top two finish hopes.
