Emilio Aguinaldo College head coach Oliver Bunyi said it was simply the maturity that paved the way for the Generals to draw a 63-60 comeback win against San Sebastian College-Recoletos in the NCAA Season 97 on Wednesday.

Bunyi felt they had been missing the endgame poise which led to them losing their outings against De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, San Beda University, and Mapua University, all of which were tight matches.

"I think that's the sign of maturity already. Before, hindi kami gano'n. Madali kami mag-panic, 'yung mga decision making namin palaging may mali but this time, I think their basketball sense is growing," said Bunyi.

"They're becoming more matured and ang maganda doon, itong mga batang 'to, mababait to eh. They know what is right and what is wrong."

Ralph Robin, a crucial piece in the win against Stags, echoed Bunyi's sentiments.

The hot-shooting guard said the win against San Sebastian, who then dropped to 2-4, was a testament to the maturity the players are developing as the season moves forward.

"Sa mga past games namin, kulang kami sa maturity na hindi namin natatapos nang maayos 'yung laro," Robin, who posted a career-high 27 points, added.

"Kinakapos kami dati so ngayon pinakita lang namin na kaya namin mag-close ng game at makuha 'yung panalo. 'Yung maturity namin lumabas sa game ngayon."
