Now an NCAA analyst, Benjie Paras shares the players who've impressed him so far

Legendary cager Benjie Paras has been a regular fixture in the NCAA, playing for San Beda University (then San Beda College) in the high school ranks while taking on the assistant coach mantle for the Red Lions from 2012 to 2019.

In the ongoing Season 97, Paras, dubbed as the 'Tower of Power', returns to his home, only this time he's fulfilling a different role: an analyst.

And on Friday, the 6-foot-4 bruiser shared the three players who impressed him so far.

Paras said he sees flashes of his younger self in players like Jeo Ambohot and Rhenz Abando, who towed their team to an 80-60 win over Mapua.

"Very exciting and makikita mo 'yung excitement and 'yung gigil ng mga players after being laid out for two years. I'm happy na nakabalik sila," Paras said after calling the games between the Knights and the Cardinals at the La Salle Green Hills Gym.

"If we're talking about the game earlier, it's Ambohot, Abando, and (King) Caralipio. Nakikita ko kasi yung, of course being a big man 'yun din 'yung laro ko and they are very exciting to watch and grabe yung work ethic."

This was Paras' second time sitting as the game analyst as he had already Called the Saturday clash between Lyceum University of the Philippines and Emilio Aguinaldo College.
