NCAA basketball is back!
Now that the names have been released and the teams are just waiting for the tipoff slated on Saturday at La Salle Green Hills, members of the NCAA broadcast panel Mikee Reyes, Martin Antonio, and Anton Roxas gave their thoughts about the upcoming NCAA season.
What team should fans watch out for?
Martin Antonio: Letran Knights. Letran is the team to beat, Letran is the team to watch out for.
Mikee Reyes: San Beda. This might be the first season in a long time that they're not the heavy favorites.
Which team has the X-factor?
Antonio: JRU. The team did not rest throughout the pandemic. Knowing coach Louie Gonzalez, this team is well prepared and ready to play 'brusko' basketball.
Reyes: CSB. Saint Benilde with coach Charles Tiu now at the helm, the team has been rising and I like how he's assigned because there's continuity in the program.
Fearless forecast for champion and MVP?
Anton Roxas: Fran Yu, Letran for championship.
Antonio: JRU; MVP: Ralph Penuela (San Beda)
Reyes: Letran; MVP: Justin Arana (Arellano)
