On court leaders and floor generals: Meet the NCAA Season 97 point guards

Considered as one of the most important roles in a basketball team, the point guard is usually touted as a general on the floor as they command their coaches' instructions.

In Monday's episode of NCAA Season 97 primer "Game On," the show talked to some of the point guards who will be watched out for this season such as the Letran Knights' Fran Yu, CSB Blazers' Prince Carlos, San Beda Red Lions' Ralph Penuela, and Lyceum Pirates' Mclaude Guadaña, and .

They spoke about how important the point guard position is in the sport.

"The point guard is like being the second coach. You have to be the one to dictate for your teammates," Yu, the Season 95 Finals MVP, said in Filipino.

"As point guard, you have to see everyone on the court, you have to make plays for your teammates," Carlos added. "Court vision means you see everyone and once you see an open guy, you just have to pass him the ball for the easy bucket."

The point guards also shared some of their training routines and drills with Kapuso celebrities in the "NCAA Homecourt" segment.
