Rising JRU student-athletes talk about mentors on the latest ‘Rise Up Stronger: The Road to NCAA Season 96’ episode

Jose Rizal University student-athletes Michael Alvarez, Ry dela Rosa, and Dominic Woodard all have one thing in common: great mentors.

Alvarez, the brother of former PBA star Rich Alvarez, shared on the ‘Rise Up Stronger: The Road to NCAA Season 96’ how growing up, he would watch his brother’s game—which eventually inspired him to try out the sport.

Ry dela Rosa shared the same experience.

The second-generation baller recalled how his father Romy, himself a former defensive specialist in the PBA, and older brother Rome, who is currently suiting up for Magnolia, influenced his deep love for basketball.

Woodard, who is the current JRU track and field star, shared to host Sophia Senoron how long jump queen Elma Muros-Posadas, who has been serving as the team’s coach since 2008, played a key role in his decision to don the school’s colors.
