Ken Chan signs up with GMA Music

The year is off to a great start for versatile Kapuso actor Ken Chan as he becomes the latest artist to join GMA Music’s roster of talents last January 8.

Present during the contract signing were GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta, and GMA Music A&R Manager Kedy Sanchez.

Ken, who is lauded for his skilful portrayal in the top-rating Afternoon Prime series My Special Tatay, shared that he feels overwhelmed and thrilled to mark another milestone in his career, “Sobrang happy po ako dahil ang tagal ko nang wish na makasama sa GMA Music. Talagang nagpapasalamat po ako sa kanila dahil nagtiwala at patuloy silang nagtitiwala sa akin. Lahat ng pino-produce nila maganda kaya excited ako na makatrabaho sila.”

He also expressed his excitement over his first song entitled ‘Almusal’ which is a duet with fellow Kapuso singer and on-screen partner Rita Daniela.

“Simple pero feel good ‘yung music at relatable kasi ‘di ba tayong mga Pinoy, mahilig tayo sa almusal. Tsaka kapag may sinusuyo tayo, ‘di ba isa sa mga ginagawa natin ay pinaghahanda natin ng almusal. Nag-play na po sa Barangay LS 97.1 and sa RGMA provincial radio stations nationwide ‘yung single, tapos nung una kong narinig sobrang sarap sa feeling na finally pinarinig na sa mga Kapuso natin yung single namin,” he happily said.

Meanwhile, GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta proudly welcomed Ken and revealed that they already have quality projects in store for him, “Happy ang GMA Music sa signing na ito especially with Ken Chan because he is one of the Network’s most prized talents. In fact, meron na siyang naka-ready na next single, it’s coming soon, and we’re also looking forward to shooting the music video for that.”
