The song explores the heartbreaking reality that, at times, lovers must part ways.

Composed of Ronald Villadar Fourth Dayag on bass, Fourth on drums and percussion, Neth on guitars, keyboards, and vocals, Rigil on guitars, SALA has also released the song "Hi, Tita" under AltG Records.

Much like a cozy living room, SALA—the band offers a laid-back take on songs about love and the realities of life, while promising a mellow listening experience.

Neth recalled how the band started, "Yung Sala, nag-start, tatlo lang kami. Si Ron, si Fourth, at ako."

Ron added the backstory of SALA, "Yung name, nabuo siya kasi sa sala lang talaga kami tumutugtog."

Neth also revealed how the band became part of GMA Music's sub-label AltG Records.

Then, hinanap niya ako sa Facebook, then pinasa niya directly kay Sir Rene 'yung song.

Fourth shared, Nung nagka-pandemic, Neth wrote a lot of songs, and after the pandemic, nag-reach out siya sa amin ni Ron kasi kailangan niya ng banda to record songs.

Fourth added, "We can honestly say, sobrang grabe 'yung contributions ni Rigil. And then, in-invite na namin sumali. He is such a crucial part of the sound of Sala. And we are so glad and very honored na makasama namin si Rigil."

The song SALA was inspired by Neth's experience nine years ago while frequently hanging out in a tattoo shop.

"Na-witness ko na may couple, noong una, masayang nagpa-tattoo, tapos na-witness ko rin nung solo na silang nagpapa-cover up ng couple tattoo nila," Neth said.

Fourth decided on the song title inspired by a movie meme.

Fourth reflected on the song's meaning, "Getting a tattoo is a sign that you have no regrets about your decision.

"A couple tattoo requires a lot of investing of time, money, and memories.

"It's very funny, but very relatable.

Neth picked his favorite line from the song, “Sa butas ng karayom idadaan, alaala na matatabunan.”

It vividly illustrates the physical pain of getting a tattoo, while symbolically reflecting on the struggle of letting go of a special someone. However, when moving on becomes necessary, one should treasure the cherished moments and move forward without regrets.
