Wickermoss makes it to #22 on iTunes Philippines

Wickermoss has just released their latest single, "Nang Walang Dahilan" under GMA Music's sublabel, AltG Records.

The heartbreak love song was written by Wickermoss guitarist Rigil Borromeo during the pandemic.

"’Nang Walang Dahilan,’ nasulat ko nung first week ng lockdown, March 2020," he said. "Sinulat ko siya specifically for Wickermoss na nabuo after four year pa."

Vocalist Allen Lucas narrated the inspiration for the song, which came from a bad breakup. "Kwento ng friend ni Rigil, nung iniwan siya ng girlfriend niya ang walang dahilan. Walang closure, masakit kasi may relasyon na matagal tapos iniwan ng maraming questions unanswered."

"Sa mga taong na-experience nila 'yung ganitong situation, you'll feel less alone through our song."

"Challenging kasi nung naisulat siya, pandemic pa so wala kaming time na mag-record so after four years na lang siya nabuo."

Guitarist Roger Alcantara shared, "Sa technical aspect, time talaga 'yung challenge kasi may part diyan na talagang mahirap tugtugin."

Founded by Reiman Gesmundo (guitars) and Roger Alcantara (bass), Wickermoss made their mark in the music industry with their nostalgic sound with a modern mix of various influences such as pop, folk, jazz, and progressive rock.

In 2023, Wickermoss reunited with AltG Records after 18 years. Roger described the journey and the evolution their band has undergone through the years.

"Nag-iba na ang dynamics ng songwriting, siguro dahil 'yun mga sulat nila iba sa mga dati naming gawa ni Reiman (Gesmundo), so nag-iiba rin 'yung songwriting process, pati 'yung mga kanta nag-iiba rin. So it's exciting, I'm looking forward to see what's coming next kasi kung ngayon pa lang nagiiba na 'yung tunog paano pa kaya 'yung mga susunod."
