Liana Castillo's Gen Z rendition of 'Umaambisyon' is out now!
Liana Castillo's "Umaambisyon" is now available for streaming on all digital music platforms worldwide.
The Clash Season 5 finalist and GMA Music artist Liana Castillo has once again proved her impressive singing ability with her Gen Z rendition of the hit love song "Umaambisyon," originally performed by Yasmien Kurdi.
"Umaambisyon" is Liana's sophomore single under GMA Music and her comeback since the release of her debut single "Bebegurl" in June.
"Ito pong 'Umaambisyon' is all about a guy, siguro po may crush po sa akin o tipo ako, but I ignore his advances po kasi I'd rather focus [on] myself first and 'Bebegurl' muna," Liana described the song.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Liana revealed why she chose "Umaambisyon" as her new single.
"Napili ko po 'yung 'Umaambisyon' dahil talagang nagustuhan ko po 'yung groove ng kanta and melody, and sabi ko, 'Why not try it as a revival po.'
"Since revival po siya, ang ginawa po naming changes, medyo ginawa po naming Gen Z. Ito pong 'Umaambisyon' is like part two of 'Bebegurl.' Ito po kasi parang opening up to love po pero siyempre ako po muna," she added.
