Liana Castillo gives Gen Z rendition on 'Umaambisyon' as her new single
Liana Castillo revives Yasmien Kurdi's song "Umaambisyon" for her new single under GMA Music.
The Clash Season 5 finalist and GMA Music artist Liana Castillo has a fresh take on Yasmien Kurdi's hit song "Umaambisyon." This is her second single under GMA Music, following her debut single "Bebegurl" in June.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Liana shared that they see "Umaambisyon" as a progression of "Bebegurl."
"Umaambisyon" is about teen love. It describes a young guy's persistence in pursuing his crush, hoping she will take notice of him and like him back.
"Since revival po siya ang ginawa po naming changes, medyo ginawa po naming Gen Z," Liana said.
"Ito pong 'Umaambisyon is like part two of 'Bebegurl.' Ito po kasi parang opening up to love po pero syempre ako po muna," she added.
"Umaambisyon" is now available for pre-order on iTunes until October 3. The song will be released on digital music platforms this Friday, October 4.
