Kim de Leon shares thoughts on getting a big break in acting
Kim de Leon said he's hopeful that he can improve and have an acting breakthrough
Sparkle artist and GMA Playlist singer Kim de Leon just released his latest single "Window."
During the GMA Playlist media conference, Kim expressed his gratitude for having two songs under his belt. In 2022, Kim released his first single "Safe with Me."
"Ngayon po, nakapag-release na ako ng dalawang songs. Never in my life na in-expect [ko] na mag-re-release ako ng kanta."
He also confessed that he wasn't this confident in singing. "Dati sintunado ako pero kumakanta pa rin ako."
But Kim was determined to improve in singing, and it paid off. How did he get better at music?
"Practice. And lucky enough, I found a good voice coach na talagang nagma-match. Sabi niya sa'kin, lahat naman tayo marunong kumanta, tinutulungan lang nila ako ilabas 'yun."
Aside from singing, Kim is also an actor after being hailed as StarStruck Season 7' 's Ultimate Male Survivor in 2019.
Since then, Kim has been seen in several GMA dramas and TV shows.
However, he admits he's still waiting for a major acting role. "Hindi ko naman po masyadong dinadamdam. Today, I have work. I have my stuff, [and] I do para mag-improve. And outside work, I try to improve myself. I'm still hopeful po na mabigyan ng magandang break."
Kim has appeared in shows such as My Fantastic Pag-ibig, Agimat ng Agila, Love You Stranger, Maria Clara at Ibarra, and Asawa ng Asawa Ko.
