Baguio-based singer Plume to release performance video for latest single 'Panggap'
Plume on filming the "Panggap" performance video: "Very fun experience."
Baguio-based singer-songwriter Plume will release a performance video for his latest track "Panggap".
"Panggap" is Plume's sophomore single under GMA Music's sub-label AltG Records, which was released on August 30.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Plume shared his fun experience filming the performance video for "Panggap."
"Medyo awkward po noong una kasi first time ko pong mag-shoot ng video in public na may mga kasama," Plume said.
"Pero overall was super fun po kasi some of my friends were in the music video and helped with the music video. Very fun experience," the Kapuso singer added.
According to Plume, "Panggap" is about someone who is trying to mend his sadness by inviting someone going through a similar phase to pretend to be happy.
Through this song, he hopes listeners will be inspired to be true to themselves. He said, "If you’re sad, cry. If you’re happy, laugh. I hope this song encourages people to be honest with their emotions."
When asked how special his new song "Panggap" is to him, Plume answered, "Noong nasulat ko kasi 'yung 'Panggap,' actually, it was just a practice song, na pina-practice ko lang magsulat ng song, ng chords.
"Pero noong minessage ako nung producer ko to actually record 'Panggap,' medyo unexpected kasi I didn't think na 'Panggap' was good enough pero I guess the song itself was pretending that it's not good enough but in fact it actually is."
"Panggap" marks Plume's first release in six months, following his debut single "Beautiful" on March 1. The alternative "semi" rock song is now available for streaming and download on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other digital music platforms worldwide.
