Sala gives comedic take on the pressures of aging single people in debut single 'Hi Tita!'
OPM band Sala's first single "Hi Tita!" will be available on digital music platforms on March 15.
Just a month after signing a recording contract with GMA Music's sublabel AltG Records, OPM band Sala is gearing up to launch their first single, "Hi Tita!"
According to Sala's leader Neth Macam, "Hi Tita!" was written in July 2023. It is about aging single people who have devoted much of their time to their respective careers--prioritizing their career over their love life. He "borrowed" the idea from his interaction with family, friends, and other people with this status in life.
Fourth Tayag continued, "Kaya 'Hi Tita!' ang name kasi parang it's usually the titas who are asking that all the time."
Through this song, the band wants to convey to listeners, particularly individuals who feel pressured by family and friends to marry and have children, that there is no need to rush anything.
"Don't rush things. Prioritize your priorities.
"Hi Tita" is now available for pre-order on iTunes until March 14. The song will be released on digital music platforms on March 15.
SALA was formed in February 2023. The band members are Neth Macam (vocalist and keyboardist), Ronald Villadir (bassist), Fourth Tayag (percussion drums player), and Rigil Kentaurus Borromeo (electric guitar player and producer).
