GMA Music has welcomed a group of new artists, Plume and OPM band Sala, under their sublabel, AltG Records.

During the contract signing on January 25, GMA Music officially launched solo artist Shaquille Iverson or Plume – a  20-year-old singer and songwriter from Baguio City.

Taken from the word "Pluma," Plume is excited to share his songwriting to the world.

His passion for music led him to compose several songs such as "Liwanag" a song about struggling to find the light at the end of the tunnel and coping with the abandonment of someone you love. Meanwhile, "Beautiful" captures the sound and the story of young love.

Plume described his music as something that can stir wistful feelings. “'Yung emotions or feels na tina-try ko i-convey sa songs is bittersweet and melancholic.”

He shared his goals now that he's with AltG Records.

"One of my goals 'yung ma-overcome ko po 'yung fear ko na hindi ako magaling or na walang magkakagusto sa music ko. Another goal is, magkaroon ng songs na I can be proud of regardless sa reception."

Another OPM act to watch for is band Sala, composed of Ronan on bass, Rigil on guitar, Neth on Keyboard and guitar, and Fourth on percussion and drums.

The group feels a sense of comfort now that they've signed under AltG Records.

Fourth agreed and added, "I think it all boils down kung bakit namin sinimulan ito, gusto lang talaga namin marinig kami ng mga tao and enough na 'yun at magustuhan nila. And now that there's AltG, we have a means of disseminating our music to so many people. Ma-share na namin 'yung vision namin and 'yung music."

One of their upcoming releases is "Hi, Tita" a comedic take on the pressures of being an adult.

"’Hi, Tita’ story siya ng guy na kinain ng work nakalimutan na mag-asawa o magkarelasyon," Neth shared.

Fourth quipped, "Kanta 'yun ng mga nangingialam sa mga buhay ng may buhay."

Rigil described the sound as ‘60s style rock, "It's straight up rock pang soundtrip sa sixties."

Ronan added, "Ma-eenjoy mo to sa road trip tapos maiisip mo ganun din pala 'yung mga kamag-anak mo sa mga reunion."

Another track they're looking forward to sharing with an audience is "Sunod" which is a letter to a future lover.

"Bugbog na 'yung mga kantang tungkol sa mga ex. So gusto naman namin na about sa future naman," Neth said.

When it comes to collaborations, they're looking forward to making music with Japanese Pinoy rock band SkyGarden, Fourth said, "I would like to collaborate with SkyGarden, I think everybody agrees. 'Yung energy nila, parang isang ball of energy nakakahawa."
