Gel Aquino debuts 'Ang Nais Ko' at third spot on iTunes Philippines

Pop music artist and lounge singer Gel Aquino expressed her gratitude for the warm support she received for her second self-composed single "Ang Nais Ko," which immediately landed at the third spot on the iTunes Philippines chart upon its release on August 8.
"Sobrang saya po na nag-top 3 po sa iTunes Philippines. Sana tuloy-tuloy pa. I-claim na natin mag-number 1 siya. Worth it ang pagod ng mga nag-produce nito at saka ng mga taong sumuporta, mga taong naging part ng creation na ito, ng kantang ito, para sa kanila ito," Gel said in an interview with GMANetwork.com.
"Ang Nais Ko" is a heartbreak song that talks of a person who has been repeatedly hurt by her partner in the relationship. Her partner does not care about how she feels and continues to cheat on her, eventually leaving her. So, she sings about what she desires in a relationship, hence, "Ang Nais Ko."
This song is Gel's first single as a signed recording artist of GMA Music. She officially signed up with the label last July.
"Ang inspiration ko po rito ay ang mga nasaktan sa pag-ibig, lalo na 'yung mga kababaihan--na nasaktan sila, na naging martir sila sa relasyon. Tapos ang [dahilan] kung bakit 'Ang Nais Ko,' mayroon siyang pinapahayag na mensahe na ito 'yung gusto niya sa relasyon," Gel shared.
"Ang Nais Ko" is now available for streaming on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and other digital music streaming platforms worldwide.
