Check out Abby Clutario's version of the well-loved 'Voltes V' theme song.
OPM musician Abby Clutario has released the music video for her cover of "Chichi Wo Motomete."
The Japanese song is popularly known as the closing theme for the anime series Voltes V. It was composed by Asei Kobayashi/Akira Aoi and performed by Ichiro Mizuki. Its title loosely translates to "Searching for Father" or "In Search of Father” which expresses the heroism of the characters, their loyalty and passion for their mission, and the longing they feel for a father figure. It has become one of the enduring symbols of the Voltes V series, and holds a nostalgic place in the hearts of fans. Currently, it is among the soundtracks of Voltes V. Legacy.
It was back in 2020 when Abby randomly thought of making her own rendition of "Chichi Wo Motomete." She said, "Naisip ko na gusto ko siyang lagyan ng twist, aregluhin ko siya, lalagyan ko siya ng twist kasi panglalaki yung kanta and then ginawa ko siya sa chapman stick."
Abby is known as one of the pioneers in playing the Chapman Stick--an electric musical instrument with ten to twelve tuned strings. Her cover of "Chichi Wo Motomete" is the perfect soundtrack to ease everyone's soul. Produced by GMA Music and AltG Records, "Chichi Wo Motomete" is now available on all digital streaming platforms worldwide.
