Kapuso girl group XOXO returns with a danceable and feel-good single titled ‘"GLNG" (Go Lang Nang Go).’
Composed by Ramiru Mataro and Geca Morales, "GLNG" is about rising to life’s challenges, and that no matter what difficulties we face, we should pick ourselves up and keep going.
Consisting of Riel Lomadilla, Dani Ozaraga, Mel Caluag, and Lyra Micolob, the group is thrilled to release a positive and uplifting song for their listeners.
“Sobrang excited po kami kasi it’s our first time to sing a Filipino song tapos upbeat pa siya so it's far different from our two previous songs. We’re so thankful to GMA for the opportunity to be able to interpret this. Kasi ‘yung mga songs namin, if you’ll notice, all of them are in the line of giving inspiration and motivation to people. And one of our advocacies as a girl group is to inspire and we want to let them know na whatever trials and tribulations that happen in their life, dapat go lang nang go,” Riel said.
Lyra agreed, “Perfect ‘yung pag-release namin ng Go Lang Nang Go kasi ‘yun ‘yung gusto naming message to everyone– to stay positive and kahit anong mangyari, laban lang. Very happy rin kami kasi it’s a happy song and super grateful kami kasi nakapag-release kami ng another single.”
Aside from singing, these girls are also talented actresses. For Dani, music will always have a special place in her heart, “Singing and music is always our first love talaga and ‘yung acting new discovery siya of ourselves pero kung kaya ipagsabay both, ilaban lang natin.”
As for their favorite lines in the song, Mel chose the line “Sige lang kahit masaktan, babango't babangon ka naman” and she shares why.
And in between those situations, marami kang matututunan so may reason bakit mo pinagdadaanan ito. Ipagpatuloy mo lang ang buhay mo at ‘wag mawalan ng pag-asa,” she said.
On the other hand, Dani’s favorite part is the introduction of the song where they start vocalizing. Kaya first thing that you should do when you wake up is to play GLNG!”
Lastly, Riel’s favorite line in the song is her rap part, “’Wag mong isuko ang pangarap, dito ikaw ang nararapat.” She finds this line relatable and shares that there were people who doubted her when she was starting in the industry. Despite these, she believed in herself, “Kahit ano pa ang sabihin ng iba, basta’t alam mo na ginagawa mo ay tama at ipinaglalaban mo ang pangarap mo, as long as you have a good heart and your dreams matter, remember that you belong here and don’t you ever doubt yourself because you deserved it.”

Meanwhile, their music video will premiere on June 1 at 5 pm on GMA Music’s YouTube channel. They will also have an Afterparty on YouTube after the premiere, which is available to YouTube Premium subscribers, where they can "meet and greet" XOXO virtually.
