Sparkle actress Shayne Sava is joining GMA Playlist's livestream this Friday, May 5, as she introduces her debut single "U-Turn."
"U-Turn" is a song about a girl who fights for the love of her life. Though there are more reasons to leave, she chooses to fight however she can. It can also be a song about self-love.
"The song is about whether to stay or to leave. Whether to stay because of the memories, and syempre mahal mo 'yung tao. But leave also because it's getting toxic already. And it's also about self-love," Shayne shared in a press interview.
She continued, "'U-Turn' kasi at the end of the song mas pinili niya 'yung sarili niya. Mas pinili niyang mag-'U-Turn' doon sa taong mahal niya pero paulit-ulit siyang sinasaktan.
"It also tackles about choosing yourself. Parang ipinapakita doon sa song na dapat mong tanggalin 'yung mga toxic na bagay sa buhay mo and always choose yourself. Always choose kung saan ka magiging masaya, magiging panatag."
Written by Rina Mercado, "U-Turn" will be available for streaming and download on all digital music platforms this Friday.
