Shayne Sava to release debut single 'U-Turn'
Shayne Sava on her debut single: "This is a dream come true kasi singing is my first love. I feel honored that I get to have my own song."
Sparkle artist Shayne Sava is ready to touch everyone's heart with her soulful performance of the love song, "U-Turn." This will be her debut single as an official recording artist of GMA Playlist.
"U-Turn" is a song about a girl fighting for the love of her life. Though there are more reasons to leave, she chooses to fight however she can. It may seem like a song about heartbreak, it can also be a song about self-love.
In a press interview, Shayne shared her own interpretation of the song written by Rina Mercado.
"The song is about whether to stay or to leave. Whether to stay because of the memories, and siyempre mahal mo 'yung tao. But leave also because it's getting toxic already. And it's also about self-love," she explained.
Shayne added, "'U-Turn' kasi at the end of the song mas pinili niya 'yung sarili niya. Mas pinili niyang mag-'U-Turn' doon sa taong mahal niya pero paulit-ulit siyang sinasaktan.
"It also tackles about choosing yourself. Parang pinapakita doon sa song na dapat mong tanggalin 'yung mga toxic na bagay sa buhay mo and always choose yourself. Always choose kung saan ka magiging masaya, magiging panatag.
"Kasi nga iba 'yung self-peace sa sarili mo, hindi lang sa environment mo kung hindi sa sarili mo rin. Kasi if you love your own self hindi ka masasaktan ng kahit na sino."
For Shayne, having her own song is a dream come true because singing has always been her first love.
"I feel honored that I get to have my own song kasi this is a dream come true po talaga. I'm just overall happy and excited po," she said.
