Mariane Osabel, Abby Clutario, Anton Paras shine at GMA Music and AltG Records gig
GMA Music and AltG Records take their music to a night of live onstage performance.
GMA Music and AltG Records' first-ever gig was filled with music and fun jamming brought by its artists including Mariane Osabel, Abby Clutario, Anton Paras, Janine Teñoso, and Wickermoss.
GMA Music's very own homegrown talents Mariane, Abby, and Anton shared their experience performing live onstage for the gig dubbed as "Friday Night's the Night" at Pit88 Restobar on March 31.
Abby is one of the few local musicians who have popularized using the musical instrument Chapman Stick. Her unique music is definitely a great addition to the label.
"Mas nakakahinga na ako nang maganda, kasi sa totoo lang, ang mga musikero, sila ang huling lumabas nung pandemic. So ngayon, talagang naglalabasan na and artists are back on their feet. Thankful ako na napasama ako rito sa community ng GMA Music family at AltG Records," Abby shared.
She added, "Of course, sa social media naging significant naging iba ang approach ng AltG Records especially nung ni-release namin 'yung 'Tadhana'. Mayroong mga tao na not from my circle na bumabati sa akin, nakikinig sa aking musika, nakikita ako sa TV. Medyo surreal ang feeling, as an indie artist for about 20 years already sobrang dalang magkaroon ng feature sa TV lalo na sa balita."
The Clash 2021 Grand Champion Mariane Osabel recalled joining gigs years ago and felt glad to relive the experience. "Sobrang nostalgic naggi-gig ako before way back 2016, college days. Gusto ko talaga mag-gig sa Manila, it's actually my first gig sa Manila as a GMA artist so let's see what will happen, sobrang saya and exciting."
Mariane continued, "It's such a big opportunity, mas marami ng nakaka-support, mas marami ng fans."
Meanwhile, the youngest of the pack, Anton Paras, performed three of his self-composed songs, "Aking Sinta," "All I Need," and "Binabalewala" as well as some classic songs, showing he's got a lot of potentials. "Right now super blessed and happy po talaga, dream come true po talaga na makapag-perform in public and showcase my talent to people.
"Since I'm the youngest I'll take notes on what to do tonight and upcoming nights, take notes na lang sa mga mas nakakatanda."
Anton shared how he balances music and studying. "Actually, kanina galing ako kanina ng school, may face to face class. Legal Management student po kasi ako so maraming cases na babasahin, mga case digests. Inuuna ko po muna ang studies ko and kapag may free time, songwriting po ginagawa ko."
Gaining more recognition and inspiring other musicians truly feel rewarding to the 21-year-old singer-songwriter. "Siguro po 'yung sa ibang lugar nakikilala po ako, nakakakilig po 'yung feeling na may nakakakilala sa akin and super blessed ako to that I can share my music to others, hopefully I can inspire other singers and songwriters to do their best and step out of their comfort zone."
