Anton Paras's 'Binabalewala' debuts in iTunes Philippines Top 20

GMA Music artist Anton Paras has dropped his new song under AltG Records titled "Binabalewala".

The singer-songwriter marks his second self-composed song released, with the first one being "All I Need."

Anton shared how he composed and wrote the song in mid-2021 about people feeling unrequited love after unsuccessfully pursuing the object of their affection. Anton hoped to write a relatable song, so he wrote this for many hopeless romantics looking for comfort.

“Gusto ko po makagawa ng song na marami po talagang makaka-relate kahit anong age po sila. Then ‘Binabalewala po’ ‘yung title kasi ‘yung story po ng song is may guy na tina-try po niyang ipakita ‘yung efforts niya sa girl pero hindi po siya pinapansin kahit anong gawin niya. Tapos doon po papasok ‘yung title na Binabalewala," shares Anton.  

“Super na-excite po talaga ako nung nalaman ko na magre-release po ako ng kanta. Sinabi ko po agad kay Sir Pau Agudelo na gusto ko po itong i-record agad kasi ‘yung ‘Binabalewala’ po ‘yung favorite song ko so far sa mga na-compose ko,” he adds.

The song can also take on a different meaning, Anton explained, sometimes it's easy to also overlook or take important things for granted. "Siguro po ngayon, 'yung health. Pati mga ka-age ko po minsan, nagiging high blood na rin po. Health and fitness para po sa akin."

Anton is also among the group of musicians who performed at the recent GMA Music and AltG Records collab gig dubbed as "Friday Night's the Night." Other artists include Abby Clutario, Mariane Osabel, Janine Teñoso, Wickermoss, and Matt Lozano.

"Super blessed and happy po talaga, dream come true po sa akin na makapag-perform in public and to showcase my talent po sa ibang tao," he said.
