JC Regino's 'Idolo' debuts no. 1 on iTunes Philippines
JC Regino wrote "Idolo" as a way of giving thanks to the numerous fans and supporters of the April Boys.
JC Regino, the son of OPM icon April Boy Regino, just dropped his first single under GMA Music, and it's already making waves on music charts.
"Idolo" debuted at number one on iTunes Philippines and has also been included in Spotify's New Music Friday Philippines Playlist on its release this February 24.
With these milestones, JC is overflowing with gratitude and thanked everyone for their support on his debut single "Idolo."
JC wrote and composed "Idolo" as a tribute to April Boys's (April Boy, Vingo, and Jimmy Regino) fans for the never-ending support they have shown. He feels that the fans deserve to have a song dedicated to them.
The Kapuso singer began to write this song six months after April Boy passed away in November 2020. It was only last year, after JC's birthday in September 2022, when he missed his dad so much that he remembered the song and got to bring it to completion.
"Idolo" is now available for streaming and download on digital music platforms worldwide.
