The Pop-R&B song composed by the singer is a comfort song meant to touch people’s hearts and showcase the beauty of human emotions and healing. He also wants people to know that they must enjoy the ride of life no matter how hard it can be. With his song, he wants the listeners to feel heard, comforted, and peaceful and to just get lost in the song’s melody.
Psalms can’t thank GMA Music enough for giving him another chance to release a self-composed song, “Thank you, GMA Music, for giving me the chance to show my artistry to everyone. Sobrang excited po akong marinig ninyo itong 'Ride' kasi paborito ko po itong kanta na ito and excited po akong malaman 'yung reviews ninyo or kung paano kayo naapektuhan nito."
He then briefly shared what his song is all about, “Pag sinabi ‘yung word na ride, road trip ang pumapasok sa isip ko. So doon po talaga nagsimula 'yon. Gusto ko pong gumawa ng kanta na mapapa-feel ko na nasa road trip ‘yung mga tao. During pandemic ko kasi ito nasulat at naka-lockdown po lahat. Personally, na-miss ko po ‘yung feeling na nasa road trip at nakikinig ka lang ng music kasama ‘yung important people sa buhay mo. Isinulat ko ‘yung 'Ride' para maiparamdam ko po sa mga tao ‘yung comfort and healing na naibibigay ng pag-roadtrip.”
If given the opportunity to have a road trip and play his song “Ride,” he will gladly choose to go to Baguio, “Sa Baguio para mahaba-haba ang byahe. Gusto ko nga rin po tumira doon in the future.”
Meanwhile, he described his song writing process, “Gusto ko pong nauuna ‘yung melody saka ko ipapasok ‘yung lyrics pag gumagawa ng kanta. Pinaghuhugutan ko rin po ‘yung aking personal experience and ‘yung mga experience ng mga kaibigan ko. Sa akin po kasi nagku-kwento ‘yung mga kaibigan ko dahil good listener po ako.”
Psalms assures that a lot of songs are in store for his fans, “Gusto ko po ulit magsulat ng mga bagong kanta. Asahan po ng mga Kapuso natin na magre-release po ulit ako ng mga bago kong kanta in the future.”
