JC Regino is now officially a Kapuso recording artist
Singer-songwriter JC Regino, the only son of hitmaker "Idol" April Boy Regino, is now included in the roster of GMA Music artists after signing a contract with the label last January 24.
Present during the event were Artist and Repertoire Manager and In-house Producer Kedy Sanchez and Artist and Repertoire Officer and In-house producer Paulo Agudelo.
Mr. Sanchez is thrilled to have JC on GMA Music, “I’m very happy sa ating partnership dito sa GMA Music. Natutuwa ako dahil another complete circle ang nagawa natin. Kasama kami ni April Boy sa start of his career sa April Boys bilang kanyang label. If you can remember during his last album ay bumalik siya sa GMA Music. So ngayon, hindi lang si April Boy ang nakasama ng GMA Music kundi pati na rin ang kanyang anak. So I’m very excited and I look forward to having more music and being part of your recording and performing journey.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Agudelo expressed his full support and excitement for the opportunity that awaits JC, “Congratulations on being part of the GMA Music family. I’m excited about what the future has in store for us, and I’m happy that you’ve chosen us to be a part of your music journey. I’m hoping for all the best.”
JC can't contain his happiness and conveyed his gratitude for this music career milestone, “Nagpapasalamat po muna ako kay God sa binigay niyang opportunity na ito. Masayang-masaya po ako dahil kinuha po ako ng GMA Music at pinagkatiwalaan nila ako. Masaya po ako na sa inyo ako napunta at matutupad na ang mga plano namin ni Dad na makabalik po ako sa music industry.”
He also shared what it's like to be the child of an OPM hitmaker, “Bilang anak ng isang legend sa musika, proud na proud po ako tuwing may nagsasabing kilala nila ang dad ko tapos kakantahin nila ‘yung “‘Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin.” Umikot po ang buong buhay namin sa music lalo na po at ipinamana niya ang kanyang talent sa pagkanta at pagsulat ng awit.”
JC can’t wait to let the Kapuso listeners hear his original compositions, “Kailangan po nilang abangan ang mga awitin na ginawa ko. Para sa mga tagahanga at sumuporta sa daddy ko, ito po’y isang pasasalamat. Kapag narinig niyo ito, may tunog po ito ng April Boys at kasama ko rin ang mga tito ko sa kantang ito. Ako rin po ang nagsulat ng iba pang aabangan nilang awitin mula sa akin. Talagang tinatangkilik po namin ‘yung Original Pinoy Music.”
