WATCH: Kristoffer Martin drops ''Di ba?' recording video
Kristoffer Martin's new single "'Di ba?" is now available for streaming and downloading on digital music streaming platforms worldwide.
Sparkle actor Kristoffer Martin has released the recording video for his new single "'Di ba?"
The heartbreak song immediately climbed to the eighth spot on iTunes Philippines chart during its release on September 30. It was composed by Nicholai Ramil Basilonia and produced by Paulo Agudelo and GMA Music Publishing.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Kristoffer shared his creative contributions to the song.
"While I was doing the recording, nu'ng bini-brainstorm namin kung paano 'yung areglo ng ''Di ba?' talagang na-excite ako kasi '[Kristoffer] anong gusto mong feels, anong gusto mong tunog?' Sabi ko ay 'Pwede po mag-suggest?'" he said.
Kristoffer added, "Nag-suggest po ako na gusto ko ng ganitong genre. Tapos sabi ko parang may kulang, need natin ng bridge. Ayun, isang beses lang po sinend, 'ang ganda ng bridge, nabubuo na natin.' Tapos pinakinggan namin. Parang may kulang pa, may gusto pa ako-- lagyan [natin] ng guitar solo. Ang ganda ng kinalabasan.
"So nu'ng pinapakinggan ko siya without 'yung voice ko from beginning to end tapos minus one lang, sobrang ganda. Sobra talaga akong natuwa noong nire-record ko, sabi ko 'Ang sarap pala na naririnig ko 'yung ambag ko."
"'Di ba?" is a song about a guy who seems to be in denial that his partner has left him, and he's still hoping she'll still come back.
