Denise Barbacena is back with a new single 'Last Thing I'd Do'

Kapuso artist Denise Barbacena is back with a new single, "Last Thing I'd Do" under GMA Playlist. The song was composed by Rina Mercado and produced by Rocky Gacho.

Through her song "Last Thing I'd Do," Denise hopes to bring warmth and love to people during these trying times.

"When it was first pitched to me 'Last Thing I'd Do' it was in the middle of pandemic where everyone was so uncertain about what's going to happen. It feels like hopelessness na lang and sobrang negative," she shared.

Denise added, "There's so much negativity on the internet, in the outside world because we were locked-in. Noong na-pitch sa akin na-move ako, na-touch ako, na for a long while I haven't felt like that. I haven't felt 'yung warmth, I haven't felt warm inside from a song. Noong narinig ko siya sabi ko 'Okay, this is it. This is what I wanna share out there."

"Noong time na 'yun ang goal to offer something na people can still feel love and hope. This song, hopefully the audience, the people who will get to watch the video or listen to the song will somehow feel like that, how I felt when I first heard it."

This is Denise's comeback in the music scene and her first single since she recorded the songs "To Be Yours, I'm Destined," and "Aking Tadhana" for the original soundtrack of GMA's primetime series Destined To Be Yours in 2017.
