Faith Da Silva: 'Mahilig akong mag-hold on'
Faith Da Silva relates her upcoming single "Sana Sabihin Mo Na Lang" to a past toxic relationship.
Kapuso actress and singer Faith Da Silva is releasing a new single under GMA Playlist titled "Sana Sabihin Mo Na Lang," a song about holding on and learning how to let go.
Though the Las Hermanas actress is known as a stunning "bida-kontrabida," Faith shares her own personal heartbreak that inspired her to sing the hugot love song.
She told GMANetwork.com, "The story of the song, kaya ko siya nagustuhan, alam ko maraming mga tao na kahit ayaw na nila sa isang sitwasyon pero pinipilit pa rin nila kasi they're hoping something could be better, or mas maging maayos ang sitwasyon."
Faith added, "Para sa akin hindi dapat tularan 'yung ganyan. I was once like that before."
She then recalled a past relationship that taught her a lot about boundaries. "I think me as a person kapag nasa isang relationship ako, could be romantic or friendship, kapag kaya kong ibigay binibigay ko talaga lahat, which is wrong. I learned we should have boundaries."
Faith confessed, "Hindi ako masyado ma-kuwento about relationships pero sa relationship na tinutukoy ko it was very toxic. I knew that time since grabe 'yung pagmamahal na nararamdaman ko, I was losing myself hindi ko maiwan 'yung sitwasyon kasi I was in love with the person.
"I think kapag napuno na tayo at na-realize natin na marami pang pwedeng mangyari sa buhay natin at hindi naman umiikot lang ang buhay natin sa relationship, that's when I realized na I think it's time for me to let go," the actress continued.
"Kahit minsan nakikita ko na 'yung mga hindi magagandang qualities ng isang tao, iniisip ko na 'Oh no, there's still some good in that person, this person might change, I can fix this person' which is not the right thing to do.
"Kapag papasok tayo sa isang relationship dapat handa tayo. Problems are part of any relationship but once you feel the respect isn't there anymore, you should stop.
"Mahilig akong mag-hold on kasi naniniwala ako na very hopeful ako sa ibang tao kahit hindi maganda naipapakita basta magkasama tayo okay lang. Pero hindi dapat ganoon," she concluded.
