EXCLUSIVE: Janno Gibbs, happy to share comeback album with Chi and Gabs

Janno Gibbs is more than elated to return to the music scene especially now that he shares his comeback album with his daughters Chi and Gabs.

The OPM King of Soul and GMA Records artist recently released “Nagbabalik” on digital stores. It contains the album’s title track and two covers which feature the voices of Chi and Gabs.

Janno shared in an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, “If you listen to “Nagbabalik,” it’s about a man who wants to go back to his past love, realizing that he made a mistake leaving her, asking for her to forgive him. But in truth, “Nagbabalik” is my song to the public, the people who might have felt I had neglected my career in singing and acting as well.”

He admitted that it took him a while working on his album which began two years ago.

“Things picked up again when GMA used my composition on their hit serye My Korean Jagiya. I gained further confidence in my music again doing Spotlight Music Sessions,” he said.

According to Janno, he didn’t expect the warm response towards his performances on the Spotlight Music Sessions but it definitely gave him more motivation. It was also one of the reasons for including their version of “One Day” and “New Rules” in his album.

“Singing with my kids was just to document a moment in my life. My daughters are growing up so fast, I just wanted to capture the moment. To our surprise and delight, the kids went viral. Bing and I couldn’t be more proud. I think we owe the public more songs from Chi and Gabs,” he continued.
