Kapuso artists, grateful to GMA Playlist for bringing out their musical talents

GMA Music's sub-label, GMA Playlist has officially launched its diverse lineup of young, fresh, and talented artists through a virtual press conference on August 11, Wednesday.

The sub-label promises fresh sounds for the new generation, which is essentially what the GMA Playlist music label is all about.

Kapuso singers such as Mikee Quintos, Arra San Agustin, Anthony Rosaldo, Crystal Paras, Jeniffer Maravilla, Faith Da Silva, Kim de Leon, and other homegrown artists like Mark Herras will be part of this exciting new offering.

During the virtual press launch, the artists thanked GMA for sharpening their musical abilities and giving them a platform for their talents.

Mikee relived her history with GMA Music saying it goes back to the days the label brought music to her drama characters.

"I'm so excited to work with this whole team. I've been working with this team for a while since sila rin 'yung nag-su-score ng mga shows at mga songs na kinakanta ng mga characters ko dati. Ito na 'yung team na nakakasama ko. I feel lucky na isa ako sa mga artista na nag-sign with this team."

Kapuso Bad Boy of the Dance Floor Mark Herras is looking forward to releasing a new dance album perfect for all the millennials and Gen Z's who love his viral dance challenges. He said, "For the third time in my career, I'm going to do a dance album, uulitin namin. Hopefully this year, mailabas siya."

Singer Anthony Rosaldo excitedly announced that a new song is already in the works with GMA Playlist. "Sobrang happy ako to be finally a part of GMA Playlist. I've worked with GMA Music. I still feel at home, excited ako for all the collaborations, we've actually worked with new songs already, nag-compose ako ng new songs with the guidance of GMA Playlist. I'm very grateful to be a part of this."

Crystal Paras is more than honored to be a part of GMA Playlist, "I joined StarStruck in 2019 and I thought when the pandemic came it will be so hard to penetrate the industry because there are so many big artists already kaya sobrang saya ko na nabigyan ako ng chance to finally be able to sing. I've been acting lately which is something I'm grateful for po pero I'm happy that I have an outlet to sing for the people, and for GMA to see what else I can offer, so I'm very thankful."
