Psalms David to bring comfort with self-penned single 'Kaulayaw'
Psalms David's "Kaulayaw" is now available for streaming and download on digital music platforms worldwide.
Kapuso singer and former The Clash finalist Psalms David just released his first self-penned single under GMA Music titled "Kaulayaw."
According to Psalms, he wrote "Kaulayaw" as a comfort song for himself during the height of the pandemic.
"Kaulayaw is a Tagalog word meaning constant and intimate companion. 'Yung time na isinulat ko 'yung kanta, iyon din 'yung naging companion ko. And sana maging 'Kaulayaw' din siya ng mga Kapuso natin, ng listeners natin kapag pinakinggan nila ang kantang ito," he shared.
Psalms continued, "Si 'Kaulayaw' kasi noong isinulat ko siya nasa pandemic ako noon so maraming nangyayari sa utak ko, sa mental health ko, and it was a note for myself na rin kumbaga.
"Kapag pinakinggan mo siya 'yun ang thought ko noon, lalo kang mai-in love. Pero kung malungkot ka tapos pinakinggan mo siya puwede kang maging malungkot o maging hopeful about love."
Psalms made his debut as a Kapuso singer in March 2020 with his first original single, "Di Na Magtatagal." In April 2021, he released his sophomore single under GMA Music titled "I Need To Know," composed by Christian Bautista.
