XOXO girl group considers their 'comeback' a miracle
XOXO is making a comeback with the single "My Miracle"
Kapuso girl group XOXO is back with a brand new single titled "My Miracle" composed by Lolito Go.
The powerful pop ballad is an inspiring track reminding us of every day's small miracles.
In a media conference with XOXO on Wednesday, June 15, the four members Muriel Lomadilla, Mel Caluag, Dani Ozaraga, and Lyra Micolob shared how they feel about returning to in-person promotions for their new track and their own personal miracles.
Muriel admitted that she and Mel found it challenging to work on music while working on separate dramas.
"Si Mel may Bolera siya, may First Lady ako so madalas naka-lock in taping or out-of-town taping we didn't really have the chance to see each other, via Zoom land din po kami most of the time.
But now it's all happening, and we're so excited to experience all of this. This time sana tuloy-tuloy na siya."
Muriel continued, "Every moment I treat it as a miracle. Lahat ng mga pinagdaanan natin, hardships, trials it all lead to this moment, itong comeback namin na hindi rin namin inaasahang mangyayari."
Mel added, "Sobrang excited kami na matapos ng napakaraming ganap noong mga nakaraang taon. Naging excited po kami kasi talagang hindi kami nagkikita.
"'Yung hindi po ako nagkasakit at hindi nagka-COVID 'yung family namin. 'Yun 'yung miracle para sa akin na hindi kami pinabayaan ng Diyos."
Lyra recalled doing their previous track "XOXO's" promotions at the beginning of the pandemic back in 2020.
"Yung feeling is fresh start ulit. Nung ni-release kasi namin 'yung first single namin, pandemic days kasi 'yun. So via Zoom meeting lang din 'yung mga pag-promote namin. Hindi namin na-perform ng maayos. Ngayon medyo maluwag na 'yung pandemic [restrictions]. Super happy kasi na-miss namin kumanta 'yung isa't isa at 'yung bonding.
"Lagi tayong kabado parang laging nanganganib 'yung buhay natin. Binigyan tayo ng second chance ni Lord na mabuhay at maging happy at grateful," shared Lyra.
The members also wanted to share their heartfelt gratitude for their comeback. Dani said, "Nakaka-overwhelm, feeling special kami today, kasi hindi namin akalain na may pa-set up talaga. We would like to thank GMA Music, Sparkle Artist Center, sa lahat ng mga nandito, sa mga bosses.
"This moment po, with XOXO. Tayong lahat maraming pinagdaanan. Kaming XOXO rin po maraming struggles. Kailangan laging nakikita pero hindi kami laging makapag-meet but finally we're here. We're so grateful for this comeback sana tuloy-tuloy na po ito."
