Ken Chan's 'Quaranfling' reaches #5 on iTunes Philippines
Ken Chan is back in the music scene with a new love song!
Kapuso artist Ken Chan's sophomore single "Quaranfling" has just been released today, April 26 and it has already soared to the fifth spot on iTunes Philippines.
According to Ken, the song "likens his relationship to the quarantine situation that is temporary or fleeting. Falling for the girl, he's hoping that it can turn into a real lasting relationship."
In an online interview, Ken expressed how much he missed singing and is thankful that GMA Music gave him an opportunity to inspire again through his new song.
"For sure marami po talagang makaka-relate sa 'Quaranfling' dahil sa title pa lang alam mo na kaagad kung ano ang istorya. It's a love story during the pandemic. Maraming nabuong pagmamahalan, alam naman natin iyan while we're in the middle of pandemic," Ken shared.
He added, "Ako during the pandemic, nagkaroon ako ng time para makausap ko ang mga kaibigan ko na matagal ko nang nilu-look forward. Kasi noong wala pang pandemic sobrang busy talaga ng lahat. May silver linings naman na mga nangyari tulad nung time and love na nagawa ko ulit for myself, for my family, and for a special someone.
"Itong bagong single ko hindi lang ako ang naka-experience nito. Maraming tao ang naka-experience nitong 'Quaranfling.' I'm just very thankful and blessed [na ang] GMA Music [ay] nakaisip ng ganitong kagandang konsepto at kanta."
"Quaranfling" was composed by Mr. Lolito Go. This is Ken's first comeback to the music scene since the release of his single "1 Like" in April 2019.
