Multitalented Kapuso comedian and actor Betong Sumaya officially starts his journey in the music industry as he signed a contract with GMA Music yesterday, July 10.
Present in the contract signing were GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun Ferrer, GMA Artist Center Senior Talent Manager Joy Marcelo, GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta, and GMA Music A&R Manager Kedy Sanchez.
Apart from being a comedian and actor, Betong shared that this recording deal paves the way for him to unlock one of his dreams, “Sobra akong thankful and blessed dahil isa sa mga passion ko talaga ang singing. Sana dito sa GMA Music, maihatid natin ‘yung kanta na magpapaaliw sa ating mga Kapuso, ‘yung tipong ma-L.S.S. sila,” he said.
The GMA Artist Center star and Bubble Gang mainstay is set to record and launch his new single with the label. He promised his supporters that his songs will show a new side of him.
“Maganda rin itong venue na sana mapakita ko sa kanta yung character ko. Abangan nila ang bago kong journey dahil kakaibang Betong po itong matutunghayan ninyo,” Betong added.
GMA Music Managing Director Rene Salta has nothing but praises for the Kapuso artist, “Betong is a promising performer, he can do a lot of things and we believe making great music is one of them. We are excited to showcase his talent and help him inspire people through it.”
