Bohol no longer requires vaccination card for entry into province

Travelers who may have missed the sights and sounds of Bohol may now find it easier to go back as an executive order has ordered the dropping of vaccination cards as a requirement to enter the province.
Executive Order 32, which was issued by Bohol governor Aris Aumentado, states that asymptomatic individuals no longer need to present vaccination cards or certificates to enter the province. Visitors who display COVID-19 symptoms are required to show their vaccination cards or certificates but will still be allowed to enter Bohol. Meanwhile, visitors who show COVID-19 symptoms and do not have their vaccination cards with them will be asked for their personal details and advised to seek medical intervention.
On the Facebook page of the Provincial Government of Bohol, the new order is explained as a way to “stimulate the local economy towards economic recovery.”
Bohol's dropping of vaccination card requirements for the asymptomatic reflects the continued loosening of travel restrictions and requirements around the country and the world. Early this year, Aklan and Puerto Galera dropped testing requirements for people entering the provinces.
Other parts of the world have also been opening up. Back in February, Singapore also dropped quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated travelers entering the country.
Earlier this month, South Korea dropped pre-entry COVID-19 test requirements for Filipino travelers. The announcement followed the return of visa-free entry to Jeju Island and Yangyang International Airport.
Back in June, South Korea also began accepting tourist visa applications and in March exempted fully vaccinated travelers from undergoing quarantine measures.
